Woodside Primary School

Lunches

Our catering company is Chartwells. We run a 3 week cycle, which changes termly. Our menu is not Halal, although we do not serve pork. We offer a vegetarian option daily; salad, bread, fruit and water are also provided every day. All food is prepared and cooked on site using fresh ingredients. A school lunch costs £2.20 per day and is payable via our communications app Arbor.

REGISTER FOR FREE SCHOOL MEALS

If your child is eligible for free school meals, it's worth registering them even if they're not going to have the school lunch. This is because schools receive a 'Pupil Premium' - an extra payment for each eligible child which we can spend on enrichment activities. At Woodside we are able to offer a concessionary rate for all after school clubs to those children entitled to free school meals.
Is your child eligible for free school meals? Go to the main school office and we will help you check or apply online at https://pps.lgfl.org.uk/
You can apply for free school meals if you or your child(ren) receive any of the following:
Income Support, Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance, Income-related Employment and Support Allowance, Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999, The Guaranteed element of Pension Credit, Child Tax Credit- provided you are not entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual income of £16,190 or less, Working Tax Credit 'run-on' - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit and Universal Credit- if you apply on or after the first of April 2018, your household income must be less than £7,400 per year, after tax and not including any benefits which you receive.
