English, Maths and Guided Reading take place each day.  Other subjects such as Science, Curriculum, ICT, Wellbeing, Music, French, R.E., Art, Design and Technology are linked, wherever possible, to the topics. This also includes the Power of Reading project where much learning is linked through a text. The first text we have looked at this year is 'The Boy, the mole, the fox and the Horse.' In the second half of the Autumn term we will be using the book Odysseus.

Weekly home learning, recorded in your home learning logs, will consist of one task, usually English or Maths. However, they could sometimes be other areas of the curriculum but will always aim to extend or consolidate learning. All of you are expected to read a few pages each night, preferably with your parents/carers and are asked to keep a record in the reading record books. As a school we award certificates for those of you who practise your reading daily.

There are currently no trips planned for Year 4 for the current year due to the global pandemic.
